On 17 August the Education Minister said that A level, AS, GCSE, Skills Challenge Certificate and Welsh Baccalaureate grades will be based on the estimate grades submitted by teachers.

Responding to the latest development, Professor Sally Holland, the Children’s Commissioner for Wales said:
“The right decision has been made. Let this be evidence that young people are active citizens in Wales. Thanks to each and every one of you for making your voices heard. Let’s make this week a time for celebrating achievements and supporting young people to reach their potential.”
