In May 2020, the Children’s Commissioner for Wales and her team wanted to hear from children and young people about their experiences of living through the Coronavirus pandemic.
The Commissioner and her team heard from almost 24,000 children and young people through a survey called ‘Coronavirus and Me’. The survey included the option for children to draw pictures about their experiences of staying at home.
The Commissioner and her team received 232 responses, including pictures and written responses such as poems.
In their responses, children told us they had been taking part in activities outdoors and spending time with their families and carers. Children also told us they had been missing spending time with friends and family outside of their household, as well as going to school and attending other activities.
