ENYA (European Network of Young Advisors) is an annual participation project which involves young people in ENOC’s work.
This year we worked with sixteen members of our Young Person’s Advisory Panel on the 2022 theme – “Let’s Talk Young, Let’s Talk about Climate Justice.”
The Project
The project’s purpose is to allow a group of young people to meet over several months to discuss a theme, research into topics of interest and develop policy recommendations. Two ambassadors are elected by their peers to represent the group and present their project and policy recommendations at the ENYA forum, which was held this year in the Basque Country.
Between February and June 2022 our ENYA group met virtually on several occasions to discuss the impact of Climate Change on children’s rights with a focus on climate action, participation, consumption and carbon footprint. During the sessions they were fortunate to speak to professionals the Children’s Commissioner Rocio Cifuentes and Swansea’s Waste Minimisation Development Officer.
